The development of tourism relations and cooperation opportunities were discussed during a meeting between the Chairman of the State Tourism Agency, Fuad Naghiyev, and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Azerbaijan, Katsuya Watanabe, on April 19.

During the meeting, an exchange of views was held regarding Azerbaijan's participation in the "JATA Tourism Expo" set to take place in Osaka, Japan, in September, as well as potential projects aimed at increasing awareness of Azerbaijan in Japan.

Additionally, it was proposed that renowned Japanese drama and film expert Fukuzawa Katsuo visit Azerbaijan in May to explore the country's attractions and produce television programs showcasing Azerbaijan’s tourism potential.

The discussions also emphasized the importance of implementing joint projects to promote mutual tourist visits between the two countries.
